Outrage spurs boycott against HIMS after CEO enthusiastically supports anti-Israel protesters

Investors and customers of HIMS Online Pharmaceuticals have begun boycotting the company after the company’s CEO expressed passionate support for university students protesting against Israel in its fight against Hamas terrorists.

HIMS CEO Andrew Dadham posted on social media Wednesday that his company will hire students who have been protesting against Israel.

“Moral courage > college degree,” he says. wrote in a letter on Platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

“If you are currently protesting the genocide of Palestinians or the withdrawal of universities from Israel, please continue. It will work,” he added. “There are plenty of companies and CEOs who want to hire you, regardless of your field of study.”

Dudum, who identifies as Palestinian-American, posted a link to his company’s job openings for people protesting against Israel.

He had previously retweeted the following post article Regarding Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Liz Warren’s opinion that Israel is committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Investors flooded social media with statements saying they would reduce their stakes because of the CEO’s comments.

“We just sold all of HIMS. @AndrewDudum. Wearing an Israeli or Palestinian jersey doesn’t concern me, but having a CEO hire a protester and wear a specific jersey is tone-deaf and unfocused. No moral stance required. That’s not what the board or shareholders hired you for. ” answered A stock analyst.

“Good luck. I’m liquidating my position in $HIMS. When a CEO shows shockingly bad judgment in posting something like this, I doubt he would act in the best interest of the company. I don’t think so. This is a violation of your terms, read one of your “fiduciary duties to shareholders.” Popular reaction.

Some people canceled their subscriptions to the service.

“And after using Hims for 10 years, I am happy to cancel today.” answered Entrepreneur Brendan Kaminsky.

“Cancel $HIMS The customer service line is 42 people long. I think there’s a huge line out the door. The CEO wants to hire the same college protesters who seem bent on destroying America. ” answered Entrepreneur Eitan Elbaz.

“If you support Israel, please cancel your @wearehims subscription immediately. You can get similar products for cheaper elsewhere anyway.” Posted Editor Ben Domenech.

HIMS stock fell a whopping 8% on Friday, but it’s unclear whether that had anything to do with anger over the CEO’s comments.
