More than 100 Navy SEAL veterans plan to march in Washington, D.C., in support of the confirmation of Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth, friend and show host Alec Race tells Breitbart News in an exclusive interview. Ta.
The march is organized by Navy SEAL veteran Bill “Freak” Brown, founder of the New York City SEAL Swim Across the Hudson River, which Hegseth has also participated in for several years.
Race, host of the Alec Race Show, has swam twice and told Breitbart News that Brown is helping spread the word about the march.
Pete Hegseth has played a very important role in promoting Navy SEAL swimming. He swam across the Hudson River for many years in a row. So he was a big advocate of Navy SEALs, but now they need the help of Navy SEALs, so Bill Brown has turned around and they're going to help Pete Hegseth in any way they can.
He said Shields “immediately signed up to help him.”
The march will take place on the same day as Hegseth's Senate confirmation hearing scheduled for next month.
Race said it wasn't just SEALs who signed up, but also Army, Navy and Marine Corps veterans, Gold Star parents and members of the New York Fire Department.
Notable Navy SEAL veterans participating include Jason Redman, Rob O'Neill, Ray “Cash” Care, Rob “Sleep Genius” Sweetman, Cameron Hamilton, Blake Booth, and Joe – Includes Masalta, Chris Wylie, Larry Summerfield, Dale Wooden, Terra Flynn, and more. Roger Lee Crosland.
Also, Vice Admiral Michael Flynn (retired), Gold Star father Charles Strange, Navy SEAL father Michael Strange (died in extortion 17), Gold Star mother Cindy Dietz, Navy SEAL Danny Dietz. Her mother is also participating. Killed in action during Operation Red Wings.
“The list continues to grow,” Race said. “If you are a patriot or veteran, please sign up and join us in this effort.”
Redman recently expressed his support for Hegseth in a recent video posted to X, saying:
The purpose of the military is threefold. To protect our homeland, to use force as a deterrent against our enemies, and to fight our wars. @Pete Hegseth I understand this. It's not a social experiment. But those who want to undermine and exploit it are doing everything in their power to prevent Pete from becoming the next Secretary of Defense. I know Pete. The march comes amid a concerted smear campaign against Hegseth based on anonymous claims aimed at weakening Republican senators' support. But it also sparked a surge of support for Hegseth from former colleagues, friends and supporters.
As for why so many veterans support Hegseth, Race said, “Pete supports them and he's a great advocate for the veteran community.”
“You can tell just by going to these swims… it’s very obvious as soon as you get there how much respect and love they have for Pete Hegseth,” he said, adding: added to.
These guys have friendship between each other. They are the ones who have participated in the battle. There is a feeling of respect for each other. [and] They know better than anyone that Pete Hegseth is qualified for the job of Secretary of Defense. And their words mean far more than many political commentators trying to wage a smear campaign against Pete.
“I'm more willing to take the word of the people who put the lives of our country on the line than the people who sit behind the microphone and say, 'Oh, Pete would never do this.'” Or that. These people, their words mean so much more. ”
Race said veteran support for Hegseth is “overwhelming.”
“They're really passionate about this cause. They want to see change in our military. They want to see this woke ideology seep into the highest levels of the military and weaken it. They're tired of it. They're fighters,” he said.
“They don't want to see how our military has deteriorated over the last few years under this last administration, so they want something to be done about it. So they want to make their voices heard. We are proud to announce that we support Hegseth 100%.”
“I think you’d be surprised at how many people actually come out and support Pete, so if you want to join the fight, sign up and get involved,” he said.
