Ozzy Osbourne experienced five years of unbearable suffering before he passed away.

Ozzy Osbourne faced severe health struggles before his death, described by him as “absolute hell.” He passed away at 76, having dealt with Parkinson’s disease and other ailments for the past two years.

Reflecting on his experience, Ozzy mentioned, “It was five years of absolute hell for me and my family.” His family provided crucial support during this difficult period, which he likened to a “really bad scene.”

Jack Osbourne, Ozzy’s son, joined other family members, like Sharon and Kelly, in expressing that Parkinson’s isn’t his only health issue. Jack highlighted that a significant neck injury from a fall, coupled with a previous bicycle accident in 2000, has also been a major struggle for Ozzy.

In 2019, the “Prince of Darkness” suffered a debilitating neck injury, requiring surgery. Even after breaking his neck, he continued to work until the injury escalated.

Sharon spoke about the toll Ozzy’s condition took on their family life. “It will change your life,” she said, noting how drastically their lives altered over the past few years. Still, she cherished having Ozzy home during that time, emphasizing their closer bond.

Although diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2003, Ozzy only revealed it publicly in 2020. He was slated to begin a tour earlier this year, but health issues forced him to cancel.

Reflecting on his mortality in a past interview, Ozzy stated, “At most, there’s 10 years left.” He added, “I’m not afraid to die, but I don’t want to suffer.” He even expressed a wish for a more humane end-of-life option, such as assisted suicide in Switzerland.

Just two weeks before his death, he performed at Black Sabbath’s farewell concert in July. Unable to walk unassisted, he sat in a chair on stage, performing alongside his former bandmates for a crowd of 42,000.

His family confirmed Ozzy’s passing with a heartfelt statement, expressing profound sadness. They requested privacy during this challenging time.

Black Sabbath also paid tribute to Ozzy with a touching message, including a photo from his farewell concert, captioned “Ozzy Forever.”
