Ozzy Osbourne’s Former Guitarist Jake E. Lee Breaks Silence After Brazen Shooting

Jake E. Lee, formerly the lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, broke his silence after being shot multiple times while walking his dog Tuesday in Las Vegas.

The 67-year-old musician, who was hospitalized after the horrifying incident, spoke to fans for the first time via the Red Dragon Cartel’s Facebook page Thursday. Red Dragon Cartel is a rock band led by Lee.

“I deeply appreciate all the concern and well wishes,” Lee wrote. “Makes everything going on a little better.”

“To clarify, I was shot three times,” he continued.

Lee recounted his version of events alongside an image of his beloved dog.

“I was on my way back home from walking my dog Coco (I didn’t name him so don’t!) Don’t want to go into details now, I’m tired, but I feel relatively very lucky,” he wrote.

He then provided fans with shocking context emphasizing the severity of the incident.

“The police found 15 shell casings at the scene which means he emptied his clip on me,” Lee wrote.

“I could only dodge so many so one bullet went through my forearm, one through my foot, and one in the back, which broke a rib and damaged a lung,” the guitarist wrote.

Lee spoke about the physical ailments he now has to endure.

“Priority now is to keep draining my lung till it’s done crying. Then we can pull that tube out and concentrate on the more minor injuries,” he wrote.

“And by the way, Coco’s fine and appreciates your inquiries!” (RELATED: Rap Manager EST Big Beach Shot Dead In Car Near Concert Location)

The Las Vegas Metro Police said they believe the shooting took place at roughly 2:40 a.m. Tuesday and initial reports suggested it was a “completely random” incident. They do not believe the famous musician was specifically targeted, according to TMZ.
