Ozzy Osbourne’s Unique Tribute Revealed
Even in death, he finds a way to bring a smile.
The remarkable occupation listed on Ozzy Osbourne’s death certificate has come to light, alongside details of his passing.
As reported by the official documents obtained by the New York Times, Osbourne died on July 22 at the age of 76 due to cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, and Parkinson’s disease.
But there’s more. Amy Osbourne, 41, shared that she described her father’s occupation on the registration form as a “songwriter, performer, and rock legend.”
The Osbourne family had already confirmed the sad news of his passing, though they initially did not disclose the cause. They stated, “We are heartbroken to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne passed away this morning.” They also emphasized the importance of privacy during their time of grief.
He spent his final moments surrounded by family and love, they added. “Please respect their privacy at this difficult time: Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Amy, Louis.”
The legendary heavy metal icon was laid to rest on July 31 at his home by the lake in Buckinghamshire.
The private service reportedly saw more than 100 guests, including friends, family, and notable figures from the music industry like Marilyn Manson, James Hetfield from Metallica, and Yungblud.
There were whispers that Elton John attended, and longtime guitarist Zach Wilde led the ceremony.
An insider reflected, “It was an incredibly emotional day. Photos of Ozzy were everywhere, and attendees were given keepsakes to remember him by.”
“He always wanted to rest at home, and he chose a beautiful spot by the lake,” they continued.
Just a day before the private ceremony, a public procession took place through Birmingham, marking Osbourne’s hometown.
His widow, Sharon, 72, along with children Amy, Kelly, Jack, and Louis, joined fans in bidding farewell to their beloved musical icon. The poignant image captured Sharon in an embrace with Kelly, holding Jack’s hand, as they shared tears in front of Ozzy’s memorial.
In past interviews, Osbourne had expressed his thoughts on funerals. “Honestly, I don’t care what happens,” he said back in 2011. “I want some pranks, maybe some audio mischief to keep things lively.” It seems he had always intended to keep life—even after death—a bit surreal.
