David Samson Responds to Jordon Hudson’s Potential Defamation Lawsuit

David Samson, a former executive with the Miami Marlins, expressed his openness to a defamation lawsuit from Jordon Hudson, the girlfriend of North Carolina Tar Heels football manager Bill Belichick.

Hudson has threatened legal action following reports about sports personality Pablo Torre’s connection to the North Carolina football program. Torre claimed back in May that Hudson had been barred from the university’s football facility, a statement the university has since refuted.

After the Tar Heels finished their home games, Hudson took to Instagram to share a photo of herself holding an all-access pass for the current season, captioning it: “P.S. I’m suing you (Pablo Torre).” She has also denied Torre’s assertion that she misrepresented her age in university documents, stating this was “one of many inaccurate and materially defamatory reports” made by Torre.

Samson, who hosts “Nothing Personal with David Samson” and co-hosts “Pablo Torre Finds Out,” mentioned the lawsuit possibility in a brief appearance on “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz.” In that discussion, he urged Hudson to defend Torre and shared some strong opinions about the potential lawsuit.

“I want her to advocate strongly for Pablo,” he stated. He went on to suggest that if Hudson indeed pursues the lawsuit, he would work to ensure her legal fees are covered by Bill Belichick and would aim for her to “lose every motion” and face embarrassment. He added, “Defamation? Is that the best she can think of? There’s zero chance. In fact, I want to disqualify the lawyer working with her.” This made it clear that he sees little merit in her claims.

While Mr. Le Batard appeared hesitant to involve himself in the lawsuit, Torre clarified that the university distanced itself from Hudson’s threats and has not been sued as of yet.
