Teamsters PAC donations overwhelmingly go to Democrats, but the $45,000 donation is the first large donation to the RNC in several years. This fund is not for general use and is specifically designated for the tournament.
The donation to the RNC was made on January 25, according to FEC filings. Trump met with the Teamsters union a few days later. Trump previously met with Teamsters general president Sean M. O’Brien in early January, the union reported on X.
