Pacers star’s girlfriend criticizes Knicks after Game 1 meltdown

Knicks Struggle in Eastern Conference Finals

The New York Knicks faced some serious criticism following their dramatic collapse in Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers. After leading by 17 points in the fourth quarter, they squandered their advantage, ultimately losing the game. They were ahead by 14 with just 2:50 left on the clock and still held a nine-point lead with under a minute to go, which is tough to swallow.

Since that game, the Knicks have lost again and now find themselves 0-2 in the series. Historically, teams have never come back to win a series after dropping the first two games at home, which adds to the pressure.

Tyrese Halliburton of the Pacers made a critical shot that sent the game into overtime, although his team managed to clinch the win. Following the match, Halliburton’s girlfriend, Jade Jones, shared a lighthearted moment on social media. She posted a photo with the Knicks and cheekily noted, “We finally got to see the New York ball drop,” accompanied by a smiley emoji.

As for the Knicks, they are looking for a comeback. Historically, they’ve held their own when leading by nine or more in the final minute of playoff games, with a record that, while impressive, now feels precarious given their current situation. Unfortunately for them, the Pacers seem to have found their rhythm, with Pascal Siakam leading the way with 39 points in the latest match.

In a late-game push, the Pacers went on a 13-4 run to tie the game. Every time the Knicks appeared to gain traction, the Pacers countered effectively, leaving the Knicks scrambling. Jalen Brunson played admirably, scoring 36 points and providing 11 assists, but it seems they need to recalibrate if they want to reach the finals for the first time in 25 years.

With Game 3 scheduled for Sunday in Indiana, it’s clear the Knicks have their work cut out for them if they hope to turn this series around.
