Jordan Love and Wife Expecting First Child
At the start of the new year, Packers quarterback Jordan Love and his wife, Ronica Stone, shared exciting news: they are expecting their first child. The couple made the announcement on Thursday via Instagram, where they showcased an ultrasound photo alongside a Packers onesie featuring Love’s name and number 10.
The caption of their post read, “New year, new additions.”
Love and Stone, both of whom are professional volleyball players, tied the knot in June 2025. They originally met during Love’s rookie season in 2021.
This announcement comes just as Love was released from concussion protocol on Thursday. However, Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur decided to start third-string quarterback Clayton Thune in Sunday’s final regular-season matchup against the Vikings.
LaFleur stated that he doesn’t plan to play Love against Minnesota, likely giving the quarterback some much-needed rest for the upcoming postseason. “If he’s a backup on game day and something bad happens, you don’t have a lot of other options,” LaFleur told reporters. “But I would say the purpose is not to play him.”
Last week, Love sustained a concussion during Green Bay’s narrow loss to the Bears and missed the following game against the Ravens. He mentioned that he felt symptom-free but couldn’t pass the required tests to clear him at that time.
“If you don’t have symptoms, you might feel fine because you have to take computer tests and things like that,” Love explained. “But I think all the tests are there to see if your brain is working properly and you can think clearly.”
On a brighter note, with the Lions’ loss to Minnesota on Christmas Day, the Packers earned a wild-card spot. This season, Love threw for 3,381 yards and recorded 23 touchdowns over 15 games, leading Green Bay to its third consecutive playoff berth.
