Padres’ Jurickson Profar robs Mookie Betts of home run, stuns Dodgers fans

San Diego Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar surprised Los Angeles Dodgers fans Sunday night during Game 2 of the National League Division Series.

Mookie Betts hit a long drive to left field off Padres starting pitcher Yu Darvish. Profar drove the ball into the short fence in the corner of Dodger Stadium. Profar jumped and caught the ball in the faces of about six fans who reached for the ball that would become a home run.

Profar came down with the ball, but did not immediately show it to the referee. Instead, he talked a little trash to the fan who stole the ball from him. One man even gave props to a Padres player for making an incredible catch.

“That's always been one of my wishes,” he told Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal in a midgame interview. “I want to get a home run. And to be able to do that in a playoff game was awesome.” he said.
