Unexpected Moments at WrestleMania

Las Vegas – WrestleMania never fails to surprise, and this was evident on Saturday night.

Before the highly anticipated four-way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Nikki Bella emerged with Brie Bella to announce she couldn’t participate due to an ankle injury.

She did mention, however, that she reached out to a friend for assistance.

When Paige’s entrance music played, the audience went wild. Paige was set to join forces with Brie Bella, facing off against reigning champion Nia Jax, as well as Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley accompanied by Lyra Valkyria.

Vera kicked off the match for their team, and the crowd buzzed with excitement at the combination of Bella and Paige. As the match unfolded, Paige took control, confronting Jax before Bliss launched her attack.

Flair tried to help Bliss but found herself on the receiving end of Nikki Bella’s crutches. In a critical moment, Bliss positioned Paige for a top-rope move, only to look away momentarily—enough time for Paige to recover, counter, and execute Rampage. Ultimately, Paige secured the win for her team.

Paige and Brie Bella: Champions

Surprisingly, Paige and Brie Bella emerged as the new tag team champions.

Paige began her wrestling journey in Florida Championship Wrestling in 2011 and later transitioned to NXT. Her WWE debut came in 2014 when she challenged AJ Lee for the Divas Championship, winning the match and becoming the youngest champion at just 21.

She significantly contributed to the Women’s Revolution in 2015, aiming to inspire a new generation of female wrestlers. Yet, a neck injury sidelined her for two years.

As of 2026, it’s been eight years since Paige competed in a WWE ring, but now she stands as a champion.
