Paige Spiranac discusses golfing and college hookups, Ava Hunt on game day, and a fight in WVU's blue lot.

What a weekend, and the best part? It’s not over yet. Somehow, I managed to get through yesterday without any air conditioning when the temperature hit 86. Not exactly fun. Turns out, it wasn’t just a minor fix that caused the A/C to stop working on Friday night—the whole unit is done for and needs replacing.

We were in for another night of sweating it out, relying on just a couple of fans for relief. But Sunday holds promise! By the end of the day, we should have cool air again, and there’s the added excitement of it being the first Sunday of the NFL season!

With both Oregon and Ohio State suffering losses, and with a full schedule of NFL games, I’m willing to endure some discomfort for a few more hours.

Before diving into those losses by the Ducks and Buckeyes, let’s kick off Sunday Screencaps with a little detour to the golf course—where Paige Spiranac recently discussed college dating.

GOLFER PAIGE SPIRANAC LEAVES PLAYING PARTNER SPEECHLESS WITH AWKWARD QUESTION

You might have missed it, but Paige Spiranac, golf’s top influencer, faced off against comedian Andrew Santino for her YouTube series, “Paige Meets Her Match.” During their chat, Santino asked her who she’d bring back to her cabin at the Celebrity Invitational, assuming everyone was single. Just typical golf course banter, right?

She mentioned Sarah Winter as the “best looking one there,” according to reports.

Santino was surprised, asking, “Really? You’re a ladies lady. Have you ever dated a girl?”

Paige responded that she hadn’t dated women, but admitted to “dabbling in college”—you know, typical college experiences.

Then came the follow-up: Would she date a woman? Her reply? “I think so.” It’s these kinds of conversations that add fun to a day on the golf course. They’re enjoying their time, playing golf, creating content, and asking those often overlooked questions about romance.

If that’s not what golf is about, then what is?

COLLEGE FOOTBALL’S CHAOS ERA IS HERE: TEXAS RALLIES, OREGON FALLS

Now let’s talk about those tough college football losses.

First up is a story about revenge: Last September, Oklahoma State took a brutal 69-3 loss against Oregon. This time around, they hosted the Ducks in Stillwater and were not going to let history repeat itself. The No. 6 Ducks went home with a shocking upset loss.

Next week, Oregon faces Portland State, which will be a true test for them after such a disappointing loss. Can they bounce back? We’ll find out.

Ohio State entered Saturday’s game as the No. 1 team but left with a close one-point loss against the No. 4 Texas Longhorns after blowing a significant lead. They’ll need to regroup quickly before facing Kent State at home. That’s not a sure thing, considering the collapse in Austin, where they lost a 20-point fourth-quarter lead.

I totally get that keeping focused is tough—just look at Penn State, which has only allowed nine points in their first two games. But top teams like Oregon and Ohio State shouldn’t be dropping games like this. A true No. 1 team plays till the whistle blows, especially in Texas.

After that win, we have to ask: Is Texas back? They certainly seem like a contender.

Meanwhile, Michigan picked up their first win against the No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners at home. Good for them! It’ll be interesting to see if they can keep the momentum going when UTEP visits Ann Arbor next week.

Pre-Game

Glyn, there are far worse ways to pre-game. This looks awesome! Keep those pre-game meals coming; it’s a long season ahead.

Cheeseburgers Again

Hey SeanJo,

Hope your Labor Day weekend has been great! My wife and I visited her folks who just returned from Michigan. We had a lovely time at the pool with some cold beers.

Later, my father-in-law made some Old Fashioneds that might have been too much. I ended up taking charge of the grill and made cheeseburgers once again—at least they turned out great! But I swear I cook more than just that. Anyway, my father-in-law had a blast while I handled the grilling.

I was really hoping my FAU Owls could pull off a ‘miracle’ against the Gators, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be. Looks like it’s going to be a long season ahead.

Keep the cheeseburgers and any other meat you send my way coming! If I ever get tired of cheeseburgers, I might need to check myself into a facility—something would definitely be off.

And just like that, another Sunday in the books. A full slate of NFL games awaits, and I can’t wait!

Stay cool, everyone. We’re facing temps in the upper 80s and low 90s today, and it’ll be several hours before we have the new A/C unit running.

If you’re firing up the grill, send those pictures my way! My inbox and DMs are open. You can reach me at [email protected] or find me here on Twitter and here on Instagram.
