According to a report in ARY News, NAB also asked Bushra Bibi to bring a gold necklace, diamond ring and bracelet in connection with the Toshahana incident.

Earlier, Pakistan's interim government had included Bushra Bibi's name on the Exit Control List (ECL), ARY News reported citing sources. The names of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have been mentioned in the ECL in the National Crime Agency (NCA) N190 million scandal, ARY News reported citing sources familiar with the development. According to NAB, the gift was not submitted to Toshakhana for calculating the price. The Toshahana issue has become a key issue in Pakistan's national politics after the Election Commission of Pakistan disqualified Imran Khan for “false statements and false declarations”.

A reference submitted by members of the then ruling coalition in 2022 claims that the PTI chairman did not reveal details of the gifts he kept from the Toshakhanas while he was Pakistan's prime minister, ARY News reported. .

Later, the Islamabad High Court stayed Imran Khan's conviction and granted him bail. However, a special court has ordered former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to remain in judicial custody in the crypto case.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) challenging the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)'s decision to disqualify him for five years, Dawn reported.

ECP was named as a respondent to the petition. The court asked the court to declare the Election Monitoring Commission's notification disqualifying Imran Khan as “illegal, unlawful and unconstitutional”, Dawn newspaper reported.

The petition also asked the Lahore High Court to stay the ECP notification until the final disposal of the case. “In the meantime, this court may be pleased to stay the operation of the Notice of Condemnation dated August 8, 2023, pending final disposition of the petition in question,” it said.

This comes after the ECP on August 8 disqualified Imran Khan, a convict in the Toshahana case, for five years for not sharing details of gifts he received during his tenure as Pakistan's prime minister. It is something that

A court of first instance in Islamabad found him guilty of “corrupt acts of knowingly and willfully concealing the profits obtained from the national treasury,” Dawn reported.

In its notification, the ECP cited the order of the Court of First Instance and declared Mr Imran disqualified under Article 63(1h) of the Constitution under Article 232 of the Elections Act 2017.
