Pam Bondi States She Was Unaware of Epstein as an Intel Asset — Yet Evidence Is Compelling

Attorney General Pam Bondy has denied allegations linking Jeffrey Epstein to possible connections with intelligence agencies, but questions still linger. At a recent cabinet meeting chaired by President Donald Trump, reporters pressed her for clarity on Epstein’s rumored role as an asset for U.S. or foreign intelligence agencies.

One reporter questioned, “Your recent notes and announcements regarding Jeffrey Epstein left some mysteries unresolved. Most pressing is whether he had ties to American or foreign intelligence.” It was also mentioned that Alex Acosta, former Labor Secretary and Miami U.S. Attorney, had indicated Epstein was affiliated with an intelligence agency. The reporter sought confirmation on that claim.

Responding to persistent inquiries, Bondy said, “I’m not sure about that. We can look into it further later.” This response came after a memo was released on Sunday, reigniting interest in an earlier Fox News interview where Bondy discussed Epstein’s client list.

“Is the DOJ planning to release Jeffrey Epstein’s client list?” asked John Roberts from Fox News during the segment “American Reports.” Bondy replied, “I’m reviewing it now as per President Trump’s directive.” When Roberts followed up with a playful inquiry about whether anything on the list shocked her, Bondy simply said, “Not yet.”

Allegations suggest that Epstein was once tied to intelligence, with reports indicating Acosta had been told to leave Epstein alone due to such connections. Epstein previously received federal immunity in 2007 in exchange for pleading guilty to lesser state charges, resulting in limited jail time and work releases. This plea deal has drawn scrutiny, especially after Epstein’s 2019 arrest on new sex trafficking charges.

Acosta defended his actions, arguing that the prosecution could have resulted in Epstein avoiding imprisonment altogether. He reiterated this during Congressional hearings, emphasizing he was working to strengthen the legal case against Epstein. Prior to his appointment as Labor Secretary, Acosta was reportedly questioned about how Epstein’s case might affect his confirmation.

Recently, Bondy faced backlash following the release of a two-page memo and leaked prison footage claiming Epstein died by suicide and denying the existence of a “guilty client list.” The Miami Herald, after extensive legal battles, has reported extensively on Epstein’s cases in Florida.

Julie K. Brown, an investigative reporter for the Miami Herald, mentioned the possibility of Epstein having links to the Israeli intelligence community, noting that Epstein had a close relationship with Robert Maxwell, father of convicted associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

Furthermore, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak reportedly had multiple meetings with Epstein, and Barak described these encounters as limited, claiming he never attended any inappropriate events. Speculation around Epstein’s connections to U.S. intelligence continues, with reports detailing past meetings between Epstein and various CIA officials.

Former CIA spokesperson Tammy Cuppermanthorpe stated that the agency had no significant ties to Epstein, clarifying that interactions were superficial and primarily related to financial services.
