Chad Mizzel Departing from AG Pam Bondy’s Administration
Chad Mizzel, Chief of Staff to Attorney General Pam Bondy, is leaving his position to dedicate more time to his family in Florida, as confirmed by officials.
Mizzel played a key role in supporting the Trump administration’s goals, particularly in revealing left-leaning groups he believed instigated violence across the country. He was noted as a significant ally of Stephen Miller, who served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the White House, according to reports.
“Chad was instrumental as Chief of Staff, overseeing departmental operations and ensuring resources were effectively utilized with integrity and efficiency,” Bondy mentioned in a statement. She expressed gratitude for his contributions and friendship, saying, “His advice has fortified our mission to promote justice and protect the American people.”
During his time, Mizzel managed both the private sector and the Civil Rights Division, showcasing his leadership and commitment, as noted by Assistant Attorney General Todd Blanche.
However, Bondy has faced challenges in recent months, particularly from within Trump’s base. Criticism arose after the Department of Justice quietly revealed that, following months of investigation, there wasn’t a client list from Jeffrey Epstein and that their inquiry had concluded.
Recently, Trump took to social media to express dissatisfaction with Bondy and her prosecution rates. A few days prior, Bondy had responded to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, stating the DOJ would take action against “hate speech.”
She emphasized the distinction between free speech and hate speech, particularly in light of recent events. Bondy reiterated, “We will definitely take action.” Later, she attempted to clarify that the DOJ would focus on speech that posed a threat of violence.
