Pamela Anderson has addressed the comparisons between her cooking show and Meghan Markle’s. The 58-year-old actress, known for her role in Baywatch, appeared on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” and was asked if she thought her show, “Pamela’s Cooking with Love,” resembled Markle’s Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan.”
When Cohen posed the question of how many people believed Markle had copied her, Anderson humorously responded with, “1,” appearing a bit perplexed.
“I didn’t,” she clarified. As Cohen pressed her on whether she saw any similarities between the two programs, Anderson stated, “I really didn’t see it. I didn’t invent a cooking show,” mentioning that Markle is just “doing her” own thing.
Markle faced accusations of imitating Anderson after launching her eight-part Netflix series in March 2025. In contrast, Anderson’s show, produced in summer 2023 and premiered in February 2025, features the actress collaborating with a top chef to prepare plant-based meals at her home on Vancouver Island.
Royal commentator Neil Shawn claimed that Markle’s series is a “frame-for-frame” copy of Anderson’s program. Jesse Fawcett, co-creator of Anderson’s show, emphasized their commitment to originality when checking for similarities, declaring it a compliment that their work resonated with audiences.
Despite these alleged parallels, the reception of the two shows was quite different. Anderson’s show scored a notable 9.8 out of 10 on IMDb, while Markle’s managed only a 3.2. Additionally, Markle’s series did not make the list of Netflix’s top 300 most-watched titles from January to June 2025.
Despite the ongoing project, Markle and Prince Harry’s $100 million deal with Netflix has not yet been renewed. Along with the cooking show, the couple released a five-part documentary, “Harry & Meghan,” in 2022 and a documentary about Harry’s polo pursuits, which received criticism in 2024.
