Paraguayan swimming star Luana Alonso made waves when she retired from competitive swimming at the age of 20 after deciding to get an Olympic tattoo near her bikini line before the Paris Games, and missing out on medals.

On Monday, Alonso left the village, citing creating an “inappropriate atmosphere.”
“Her presence creates an inappropriate atmosphere within the Paraguay team,” Paraguay Olympic Committee president Larissa Scherer said in a statement. Sun“It was of her own free will that she not spend the night in the Olympic Village and we thank her for following instructions.”
Alonso posted on his Instagram Story late Monday that he had not been banned from the Olympic Village or anywhere else, and said he would not comment on the allegations but did not want to spread misinformation.

According to multiple reports, Alonso’s decision to go sightseeing around Paris instead of swimming with his teammates angered officials.
The Paraguayan media Daily Mail She reported that her superiors felt disrespected by her time at Disneyland Paris and that her “revealing outfit” made her a distraction.
Alonso is an NCAA Division I swimmer at SMU. She holds multiple Paraguayan records in the butterfly. She qualified in Paris with a time of 1:03.09.
She then decided to retire.
