Oklahoma City Woman Arrested Over Allegations of Child Abuse
An Oklahoma City woman, Ashley Seajay Roland, has been arrested on charges related to child abuse, specifically for allegedly permitting her boyfriend to abuse her daughter. This comes amidst serious concerns regarding the disappearance of her daughter, London Kerr, who has been missing since 2022.
Roland, age 39, initially claimed that her daughter was with her father in Georgia, but investigators later uncovered inconsistencies in her statements, including a false affidavit. It was revealed that she had allegedly given London to a man named Carlos, identified as a methamphetamine dealer.
In a troubling twist, it appears that London was actually still living with Roland and was subjected to abuse from her mother’s boyfriend, Joshua Paul Denton, who is 40 years old. Reports indicate that Denton and some teenagers were involved in abusing London, using wooden paddles and even BB guns.
Denton is also accused of mistreating his own children—his 8-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son—alongside London. Claims suggest that he poured hot sauce into London’s eyes, confined her in a closet, and threatened his daughter to keep quiet about his actions. There are even allegations of sexual abuse, with threats to kill if London spoke out.
The Oklahoma City Police have expressed “extreme concern” for London’s safety, especially given the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. A recent police post categorized London as “missing/in danger” and sought information about her whereabouts.
In terms of legal repercussions, Roland faces one charge for allowing child abuse, while Denton is facing multiple charges—six for child abuse, six for forced sodomy, and a variety of other charges related to his actions.
