Parents taken into custody following chaotic brawl at a 12-year-old's softball match captured on video

A chaotic altercation unfolded at a youth softball game in Sugar Land, Texas, resulting in injuries to two individuals and leading to criminal charges for a couple of parents, according to reports.

The incident took place during a match between two teams of 12-year-olds at Imperial Park, where Kiarious Marshun Hall and his wife, Jazmine Hall, were present to support their daughter.

The altercation reportedly began over Kiarious’s alleged actions during the opposing team’s turns at bat.

As described by police and court documents, a man from the Timbergrove Thunder team confronted Hall, telling him he couldn’t cheer until the ball was pitched.

Investigators reviewed video evidence that purportedly shows Hall hitting a man in the face with a metal water bottle, causing him to fall unconscious.

He is also alleged to have attacked another man, Gary Greaser, who tried to intervene following the first strike.

Greaser recounted his experience, explaining that he attempted to disarm Hall to prevent further escalation. He expressed concern about Hall’s behavior, noting that it was poor sportsmanship to disrupt the game at such a crucial moment for the girls.

Hall has claimed his response was self-defense, stating he was provoked when he was “elbowed and poked” in the chest; however, court documents indicate that the video evidence does not support this assertion.

Further video footage provided by investigators confirms the violent nature of the encounter, with Hall evidently striking the man, resulting in severe injuries including a fractured skull and broken jaw. He remains hospitalized as of now.

Additionally, Jazmine Hall is accused of pushing Greaser just before they fell into some bushes, and bystanders had to eventually separate the parties involved.

Following the fight, both Kiarious and Jazmine Hall were taken into custody by the Sugar Land police and are now facing charges. Kiarious has been charged with assault causing bodily injury, and Jazmine, who has since resigned from her role as an assistant principal at Lamar Junior High School, faces a misdemeanor charge. The school district confirmed they are aware of the situation and highlighted that it occurred outside of school hours and was not related to any district activities.

According to reports from Hall’s lawyer, the man struck by the water bottle has been admitted to St. Luke’s Hospital with severe injuries. Meanwhile, Greaser needed medical attention for a broken hip and received stitches for his chin.

The situation is still under investigation.
