Passengers Evacuate via Emergency Slides When Delta Plane Catches Fire

Delta Air Lines flights opened fire at Orlando International Airport on Monday, prompting passengers to evacuate quickly.

Usually, Delta Flight 1213 is located between Orlando and Atlanta. Taxing The Fox 35 reported on the runway as one of the jet’s engines burned up, noting that there were 282 people at the time.

When a flame emerged from one of the plane’s engines, passengers were evacuated immediately via the plane’s emergency slide.

“No injuries were reported at first, but a spokesman for Orlando International Airport later confirmed that three people were transported with minor injuries,” the outlet said.

Following the incident, Delta said: “We appreciate your cooperation and apologise for your experience. There’s nothing more important than working to get customers to their final destination as quickly as possible.”

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the flight was being pushed back from the gate to depart around 11:15am when the fire exploded.

“Passers used slides to evacuate the aircraft. The Airbus A330 headed to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The FAA will investigate,” the agency added.

In January, Delta passengers evacuated Boeing aircraft due to an engine fire at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Breitbart News reported.

Four passengers suffered minor injuries during the incident.

Flight tracking data reportedly shows that a plane that took off almost halfway through the runway was cancelled just after 9am

The following month, another Delta Line flight carrying 162 passengers was forced into an emergency landing in Los Angeles, California, due to smoke from the plane, according to Breitbart News.

The report noted that the plane was on its way to Sydney, Australia, and the incident occurred when it returned to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
