Megachurch pastor Jack Hibbs recently claimed that the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally on Saturday was a warning from God that Trump should turn to the Lord.
“Mr. President, if you’re watching this right now, your right ear is full of blood. It wasn’t your eye that was shot. It wasn’t your nose that was shot. It wasn’t your temple that was supposed to be shot. Your ear was shot. But we swear and we pray that you will get on your knees before the Lord Almighty and say not only did God do this, Mr. President, I know what you said today that God protected me,” Hibbs said. “But Mr. President, who is God? Who is he? What is his name? You’ve heard for years. Now it’s time to kneel down and say that Jesus Christ is Lord and Commander of the affairs of mankind. He is full of love, he died on the cross and he rose from the grave. That is Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords and He wants all people to worship him in spirit and in truth,” Hibbs declared.
“This is a warning from the Almighty God to sanctify your ears. Will you hear this? Can you hear it? Listen to the Word of God. Stop talking about God and know God. That will make all the difference in the world.”
On Saturday, 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate Trump after he opened fire at a campaign rally. Trump was shot in the right ear while speaking but survived. Secret Service agents eventually shot and killed Crooks, but the shooting left one person dead and two wounded. The Christian Standt report.
