FBI Director Kash Patel told employees not to respond to emails.
In a memo obtained by News Nation, Patel said the department will process future responses to the Department of Personnel Management (OPM) inquiries.
“The FBI representative may have received an email from OPM requesting information,” Patel wrote in the message. “Through the director's office, the FBI is responsible for the entire review process and conducts reviews according to the FBI procedures.”
“We will coordinate the answers if we require further information,” Patel continued. “Please pause your answer for now.”
Musk, who led the White House efforts to cut the federal government, announced Saturday afternoon that he would receive an email that federal employees would immediately say “I would ask you to understand what they did last week.” I did.
“A failure to respond will be considered a resignation,” he added.
A message reviewed by Hill said that “please reply to this email about this email. Five bullet points of what you achieved last week” would have managers Monday by 11:59pm I've copied it.
The FBI is not just telling personnel not to reply to emails, at least for now.
NBC News reported that the State Department had instructed employees not to respond to emails.
“The Department of State will respond on behalf of the department. Employees are not required to report activities outside the department's chain of command. Please read the notification From Amb. Tibor Naji acts under the secretary of the State Department's management.
