Rachel Danis, who is expecting and married to Patrick Clancy, was seen in New York City on Wednesday morning, marking her first appearance since the couple shared their plans to start a family.
The 37-year-old fertility specialist was noticed cycling around on a Citi Bike, displaying a noticeable baby bump — this comes about three years after a tragic incident where Clancy’s three young children lost their lives, a heartbreaking event caused by his former wife, Lindsay Clancy.
Danis got onto the bike near her residence on the Upper East Side, dressed in a pink helmet and a relaxed white T-shirt.
A couple of weeks ago, she and Clancy revealed in an interview that they intended to have children and expressed their eagerness to talk to them about Clancy’s first three children who were so sadly taken from him.
The interviewer, Ross Douthat of “60 Minutes,” confirmed later on “CBS Mornings” that Danis is indeed pregnant.
Clancy mentioned, “I think every parent can agree, you have different relationships with your kids, but they’re all your kids. And I can’t wait to tell them about their brothers and sister,” which suggests he might be planning to have more than one child with Danis.
Danis, who specializes in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York, has shared that she met Clancy while jogging in Central Park.

The couple tied the knot in April, just a few months before Lindsay Clancy’s widely publicized trial regarding the tragic deaths of her three children began in July.
During the trial, Lindsay Clancy, 36, argued that she should not be held accountable for the deaths of her children due to being temporarily insane from postpartum psychosis. She was accused of strangling Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months, using exercise bands in the basement while her husband was out running errands.
The trial ultimately resulted in a mistrial on September 4.
