Patrick Mahomes declined to share details about a recent robbery at his home in Belton, Missouri, but he did say he was pretty upset about it.
The Super Bowl-winning quarterback admitted the whole situation was “frustrating” when asked about his initial reaction to the news during Wednesday's press conference.
“It's unfortunate,” he told reporters. “I can't go into too much detail because the investigation is still ongoing, but this is obviously something I don't want to happen to anyone, and certainly not to myself.”
One of the NFL star's bodyguards reported the break-in just after midnight on Oct. 6, according to police records obtained by Page Six Tuesday.
In the hours leading up to the robbery, Mahomes had gone out to celebrate his friend Travis Kelce's 35th birthday with a comedy show.
It was unclear whether the 29-year-old athlete or his pregnant wife Brittany Mahomes and their two children were home at the time of the break-in, and Patrick did not confirm his whereabouts when asked Wednesday.

The NFL star also did not reveal whether anything was stolen from his property.

According to a police report, the robbers broke in around 7:30 p.m. It was just 15 minutes into the Chiefs-Saints home game.
In addition to missing cash, Kelce also reported damage to the back door.
The tight end's family and friends (including his girlfriend Taylor Swift) were in town for his birthday, and they were all likely attending the game at the time of the robbery.
After the match, the group attended a private afterparty, only to return home and encounter a frightening situation.
The “Getting Kelce” star didn't report the incident until around 1:30 a.m. the next morning.
Kelce has not yet publicly addressed the incident.
Authorities say they believe the two attempts are connected to a larger organized crime group, since Kelce and Mahomes live on opposite sides of the Kansas-Missouri border. It is being
TMZ reported On Tuesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced it was working with the Cass County Sheriff's Office and Leawood Police Department to solve the case.
