Patrick Mahomes brought a TV to Chiefs camp to play ‘College Football 25’

Patrick Mahomes has had a tradition at every training camp since he entered the league that will now come to an end: The Chiefs quarterback suffered his first injury and will be bringing his own television to training camp to play College Football 25.

The allure seemed too strong for the All-Pro quarterback, who told media waiting for his arrival that he had no choice but to succumb.

“I’ve never had a TV before, but I have to turn it on because the NCAAs are on,” he laughed. “I’ve had a TV for the NCAAs and the Olympics, so this is the first year I’ve had one.”

This guy has good taste. What can I say? College Football 25 is great (review coming soon). At this point in his career, he doesn’t need to study the playbook every night. If there’s one player who could use some rest without question, it’s Patrick Mahomes.

To make the experience even better: Texas Tech is actually pretty strong in-game. They have an overall rating of 85, an offensive rating of 83, and a defensive rating of 80. They’re far from the best team in the world, but they’re definitely good enough to compete in dynasty mode — as long as you don’t run into FCS Midwest.
