Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs escape against Falcons to stay unbeaten

ATLANTA — Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdown passes, the Kansas City defense struggled twice late and the Chiefs remained unbeaten with a 22-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.

The two-time Super Bowl champions were far from perfect (Mahomes threw another interception), but they won their first three games by a combined 13 points.

Mahomes threw for 217 yards, including passes to Ruchy Rice and JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Harrison Butker made three field goals for the Chiefs.

Cousins ​​completed 20 of 29 passes for 230 yards and included a 13-yard touchdown pass to Drake London and a 50-yard pass to Kyle Pitts that led to Robinson's 1-yard scoring run.
