Patrick Mahomes’ dad busted for invalid driver’s license months after DWI arrest

Patrick Mahomes Sr. has landed himself in more legal trouble.

The charges stem from Mahomes’ arrest for DUI in the same city just four months ago.

According to court documents, Mahomes had been pulled over for a routine traffic violation: disregarding a traffic sign.

The former Mets pitcher received just a warning for the infraction but was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license.

The penalties for DUI in Texas are severe, and a first-time offender can face fines of up to $2,000 and 120 days in county jail.

This was Mahomes’ third DUI charge.

Mahomes faces up to 10 years in prison on the DUI charge, according to an affidavit obtained by The Washington Post.

Mahomes is scheduled to appear in court on July 22 for a DUI arrest, and driving without a valid driver’s license could add to his list of issues.

His latest clash with police is scheduled to go to trial on July 29.

Mahomes was arrested in early February just as his son was preparing to play against the 49ers in Super Bowl 55.

He was later arrested after finding an open 16-ounce Coors beer in the center console.

Mahomes overcame the chaos to lead the Chiefs to a 25-22 Super Bowl victory with his father watching.

The Chiefs are scheduled to open training camp on Sunday, July 21st.
