He also discussed the similarities and differences between this injury and his previous high ankle sprain, as well as quarterback mechanics.
They are very similar just with different ankles. I play and throw different things, especially when I’m playing the quarterback position. Last time it was a landing leg, so I had to find a way to throw it where it could land and keep it in the right position. Throws can be done the right way. In some ways they are definitely similar, but they have distinctly different limitations and what I have to work with.

Reed addressed the media on Monday to indicate that the high ankle sprain Mahomes suffered on Saturday was not as serious as the one he experienced in 2019. Without looking at the practice field:
