Meanwhile, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye shared some thoughts about his marriage during the game’s opening. The 23-year-old, who tied the knot with his wife Ann Michael back in June, suggested that all his teammates should eventually consider marriage.

“My teammates can choose their own path,” Maye said. “I do encourage them to get married at some point. It’s truly one of the best experiences I’ve had—there’s nothing quite like coming home to someone who supports you and looks out for your well-being.” He also reflected on his own choice to marry young, adding, “I don’t regret it at all.”

Drake and Ann Michael Maye have been a couple since 2015 and both attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In fact, he even missed head coach Mike Vrabel’s initial press conference in January 2025 to pop the question to her.

Recently, Ann Michael has gained quite the following among Patriots fans, especially thanks to her baking skills, often showcased during game days and holidays. The May family even has a festive tradition called “Bakemas” during Christmas, which drew significant online attention. When asked to rank her treats, Drake highlighted his cinnamon roll snickerdoodles, labeling them as his top choice.

“I made those for the offensive line earlier this week,” he grinned, “definitely my favorite.” He also mentioned ranking Puppy Chow third, while expressing uncertainty about pistachio bread—placing it at fourth. “And those crumble imitation sugar cookies? They’re definitely number two,” he added.
