Patriots’ Robert Kraft reacts to Bill Belichick not getting job

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft spoke out about longtime head coach Bill Belichick remaining unemployed.

Belichick, who led the Patriots to six Super Bowls during his 24-year tenure, is not available for the vacant head coaching job and will not be given a coaching job in the 2024 NFL season unless there are unexpected firings. I never do.

Kraft was asked about Belichick not getting a job while working at MusicCares, which presented Jon Bon Jovi with the Person of the Year award.

Belichick, 71, interviewed twice for the Falcons’ job, but ultimately went with Raheem Morris as head coach.

Belichick and the Patriots parted ways on January 11, and the next day the Patriots promoted linebackers coach and former Pro Bowler Jerrod Mayo to fill the head coaching vacancy.

An anonymous source told ESPN that Kraft “is going to beat Belichick at every opportunity” as the team struggles.

“Kraft should be ashamed of himself,” the New England assistant coach reportedly added in the ESPN article.

NFL Network recently reported that Belichick could take a media job in 2024.
