Tight ends not named Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce hold a special place in Robert Kraft’s heart.
In a new video released on social media on Saturday, the Patriots owner spoke to the group about the pinnacle moment in the pop superstar’s career at Gillette Stadium. Romance with 34-year-old Chiefs star.
“Her first stadium concert was on June 5, 2010, my birthday. We convinced her and her family that she could fill the stadium.” said Kraft, 82, in a video shared by X and Instagram user @shotbystefon.
“So when she came to watch the Chiefs-Patriots game at Gillette this year, I gave her a framed ticket to that June 5, 2010 concert. Think about it, she was 18, 19. She was a year old, and she’s been doing great ever since.”
Swift, who supported Kelce during the Chiefs’ road win over the Patriots on December 17, 2023, performed in New England as part of the Fearless Tour, which lasted from April 2009 to July 2010.
Months before the Chiefs-Patriots game, Swift, 34, performed in Foxborough in May 2023 as part of her blockbuster tour, the Elas Tour, currently in Sydney, Australia.
Continuing the conversation, Kraft quipped about Swift: “Maybe she should have dated Gronk.” [Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski]”, adding, “He looks better.”
Four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski spent the first nine seasons of his NFL career with the Patriots, who selected the former Arizona tight end 42nd overall in the 2010 NFL Draft.
It was while in New England that Gronkowski, 34, met his girlfriend, Camille Kostek, a former Patriots dancer and current Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.
In response to Kraft’s video, fans used X to promote Gronkowski’s relationship with Kostek, 32, which began in 2015.
“Gronk is ready to go.” one fan wrote to. “He lives with the beautiful Camille Kostek.”
Another X account posted“Gronk has Camille. He’s fine.”
Gronkowski initially said his career would end after the 2019 season, but he returned a year later to play for the Buccaneers alongside his former Patriots teammate, quarterback Tom Brady.
The two won the Super Bowl against Tampa Bay in February 2021, defeating Kelce’s Chiefs 31-9.
Gronkowski retired again in 2022.
Meanwhile, Kelce is still riding high after Kansas City won the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas earlier this month.
He celebrated with Swift in a 25-22 overtime victory over the 49ers and kissed the Grammy winner on the field at Allegiant Stadium.
Kelce visited Swift in Australia this week to see a show on the Elas Tour before returning to Las Vegas over the weekend to party with Patrick Mahomes.
They have been dating since last summer.
