Patriots star reacts to Tom Brady's indifferent view on Super Bowl game

Tom Brady, who led the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl victories over his impressive 20-year career, has stated that he will “not be in it” for this week’s Super Bowl. This statement has sparked considerable discussion among former teammates and current Patriots players.

Linebacker Robert Spillane shared his thoughts on Brady’s position, expressing concern. “Honestly, I feel sick,” he remarked during a media event this Super Bowl week. “But at the end of the day, he’s still a Patriot. He has his own priorities now that he’s part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.” Spillane’s comments reflect the conflict many feel about Brady’s current role.

Reflecting on his time with the Patriots, Brady recently mentioned, “It’s been 20 years; we’ve had a break, but the Patriots are back. Exciting times for New England,” during an episode of his podcast. He hoped for an entertaining game on Sunday.

Despite Brady’s past achievements, some Patriots legends were critical of his neutral stance. Rob Gronkowski, who played alongside Brady, indicated that he hasn’t talked about the game with him, but speculated, “He likely wishes he were still on the field. He’s competitive.” Vince Wilfork, another former defensive tackle for the Patriots, dismissed Brady’s comments as “bull crap.”

Asante Samuel added to the conversation, expressing disappointment through social media. He suggested that Brady might be envious of rising talent like Drake Maye. Meanwhile, Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs offered another perspective, stating that Brady’s role as an NFL analyst could explain his impartial viewpoint. “Does Tony Romo cheer for the Cowboys? I wouldn’t expect that. I think Peyton Manning still has love for Denver but rarely mentions the Colts,” Diggs pointed out.

Overall, it’s a curious and somewhat emotional time for many involved, as they navigate their feelings about Brady’s current position alongside his significant legacy.
