Patriots star Stefon Diggs dealing with another lawsuit just days before Super Bowl 2026

Just before the 2026 Super Bowl kicked off, Stefon Diggs, a standout wide receiver for the Patriots, found himself in the midst of a lawsuit.

A former employee alleges that Diggs is responsible for various offenses linked to the theft of a Ferrari he had two years prior, as outlined in court documents examined by sources.

The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and includes accusations of defamation, civil conspiracy, and aiding and abetting assault.

Interestingly, Diggs’ brother, Trevon, who plays cornerback for the Packers, along with former college running back Dareth Marshawn Diggs, are also named as defendants in this case.

In the complaint, the plaintiff claims that Stefon arranged to have his Ferrari moved from Miami to Houston in July 2024 but that the vehicle went missing in Texas.

While law enforcement determined that a third party had stolen the car, the plaintiff asserts that Stefon started telling friends that he was the one who had taken it.

As tensions rose, there were reportedly multiple confrontations involving the parties in question over the next few months.

The plaintiff notes that in January 2025, Stefon texted him, stating he was “responsible and accountable for all the actions of those around him.”

The situation allegedly worsened, with individuals linked to Stefon confronting the plaintiff at restaurants and even showing up at his home, demanding the return of gifts he had received.

Things hit a boiling point in December during an altercation at a Miami club, where two of Stefon’s associates are said to have attacked the plaintiff, with Trevon supposedly witnessing the incident.

The plaintiff contends he sustained significant physical injuries, including a torn ACL and facial disfigurement.

He is seeking to have the lawsuit considered as one for defamation and slander, with damages estimated to exceed $100,000.

As of now, representatives for Stefon, Trevon, and Stefon’s former attorney have not responded to requests for comments.

Previous allegations against Diggs also include an incident in December where he was accused of attacking a personal chef at his Massachusetts home.

Diggs has refuted all charges against him.
