Paul Anka recently addressed rumors regarding Frank Sinatra’s anatomy, confirming what many have speculated for years.
“Yeah, it was huge,” he shared in an interview, chuckling afterward.
The 84-year-old singer mentioned he often spends time with Sinatra and the Rat Pack in Las Vegas, including sauna sessions with them.
“I had a hard time making eye contact,” Anka joked, noting that Sinatra was unaware of the tales surrounding Milton Berle.
“It’s crazy, more than anything,” he remarked, still seeming to be astonished. “Milton Berle!”
Anka went on to reference Ava Gardner, Sinatra’s second wife, who supposedly described her husband as having a “19-pound penis.” What a claim!
He’s always been connected to Sinatra, especially since he penned the English lyrics to Sinatra’s iconic song “My Way.” It’s quite a legacy.
While on vacation in France, Anka stumbled upon a French tune named “Comme d’habitude.” He enjoyed it so much that he decided to secure the rights.
Once back in New York, he wrote the legendary lyrics, a significant achievement for a 24-year-old.
The “Puppy Love” artist recounted, “It was one of the few times I thought, ‘I think we really got something.’ You never know with songs…sitting there, I thought, ‘Hey, where did this come from?’
He promptly sent the song to Sinatra, who recorded it just a couple of months later. Anka recalled Sinatra calling him from the studio.
“He said, ‘Listen to this kid,’ and I put my phone next to the speaker. That was the first time I heard that song. I still can’t believe I wrote it at 24,” Anka reflected.
Over the years, “My Way” has seen many renditions by various artists, including Elvis Presley and Sid Vicious, even appearing in the movie “Goodfellas.”
Anka continues to thrive in his career.
His journey is even the focus of an HBO Max documentary, titled “Paul Anka: My Way,” which first aired on December 1. Additionally, he has a new album set to drop early next year.
