“There will be music” later in the evening, as the performance at Beacon Theater is set for Thursday, March 5th.
Paul Simon will take center stage at the 10th annual “Love Rocks NYC” concert.
At 84, the Grammy winner has been surprising fans with his return to the stage, particularly after stating in 2023 that he was “extremely” unlikely to perform live again due to significant hearing loss in his left ear.
However, last year the “Graceland” artist shared that his hearing had unexpectedly improved, thanks to some researchers at Stanford University. The tour is expected to kick off this summer.
Simon won’t be alone in this celebration; there’s an impressive lineup that includes Elvis Costello, Mary J. Blige, Linda Perry, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Susannah Hoffs, and Trombone Shorty. Notable announcers will also be present, such as Jeff Ross, Julianne Moore, and JB Smoove from “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
Love Rocks NYC was founded by real estate broker Greg Williamson, event producer Nicole Rector, and fashion designer John Varvatos. This event has raised millions to promote the message of love.
The organization behind the concert provides medically tailored meals to New Yorkers unable to shop or cook due to illness. In the past year, the dedicated staff and thousands of volunteers prepared, packaged, and delivered four million meals to 15,000 individuals.
Advance tickets for God’s Love We Deliver go on sale this Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET, with general tickets becoming available Friday at 10 a.m. ET. For more information, visit the Ticketmaster website.
