So Paul isn’t fighting a real boxer, he’s just fighting a madman who is good at changing the facial expressions of his opponents with just his fists. This is a typical “boxer vs brawler” sudden showdown… and we are looking forward to every bit of it.

Mike Perry

Paul has a clear height and reach advantage, which could be a deciding factor in this bout. However, Perry, despite being smaller, is very aggressive and is willing to take punches in order to get into some dirty boxing. This forward-pressing style could negate some of Paul’s reach advantage. The weight difference is also worth noting: Paul fights at cruiserweight (200 pounds) and Perry at middleweight (185 pounds). This could affect the dynamics of the bout, especially in terms of power and endurance.
Fighting Style
The contrasting styles of Paul and Perry make this matchup extremely interesting…
Jake Paul
Paul has shown a remarkable level of boxing skill for a relative newcomer to the sport. He is a very hard-working, calculating boxer who relies on his jab, footwork and power. His boxing IQ has improved significantly since his early bouts and he has shown an aggressive attacking attitude. However, he has been criticized for facing relatively inexperienced opponents, and that is no different here. Perry do not have boxer.
Mike Perry
Perry is the quintessential brawler with relentless aggression. He is known for his powerful punches, incredible durability, and fearless mentality. He has a background in mixed martial arts (MMA) and has a wide range of skills, including grappling and clinch fighting. However, he has also been criticized for his lack of defense and tendency to resort to reckless attacks. He has poor head movement and, as mentioned above, is willing to use his face as a punching bag just to land his own punches.
match
On paper, Paul seems to have the advantage in size, reach and boxing technique. However, Perry’s raw power, aggression and ferocity make him a dangerous opponent. Paul will need to utilize his jab to control the distance, avoid getting caught in the crossfire, dictate the pace of the fight and find openings for his power shots.
Perry, on the other hand, will likely try to close the distance and land some big punches to overwhelm Paul and stop the fight, but it will be important for Perry to avoid being caught out by Paul’s counter punches and to keep the pace high throughout the bout.
Both fighters clearly have a shot at victory and the outcome will depend on which fighter is able to impose his will on the other, but one thing is for sure, martial arts fans are in for a thrilling fight when these two warriors step into the ring.
