Paulina Porizkova shared a video in lingerie to promote body positivity and confidence in aging.
The 60-year-old supermodel participated in the “Get ready with me” trend on Instagram, where users showcase their routines while dressing up.
In the video’s opening scenes, Porizkova appeared in her living room clad in a beige bathrobe, slippers, and glasses.
She mentioned, “There’s something very calming about watching a woman get ready. So, here’s my take on it” as she loosened her robe and turned away.
Facing the camera, she revealed herself in a lacy lavender bra and beige underwear.
“This bathrobe is from five years ago, the Victoria’s Secret underwear is four years old, and this bra from Third Love is wonderful, by the way,” she shared, highlighting a scar on her lower back from a past surgery.
Porizkova began to switch into a pair of Rag & Bone sweatpants that she expressed her fondness for.
“Getting dressed at home is all about comfort around the waist,” she noted.
Next, she donned a quirky squirrel-print sweater gifted by her fiancé, Jeff Greenstein.
Porizkova then popped in her contact lenses, humorously remarking, “This is essential for me as someone who can barely see.”
The supermodel slipped into very old Victoria’s Secret shearling slippers and fashioned her hair into a topknot.
As she lightly pinched her cheek, she quipped, “My makeup is just a touch of color.”
She wrapped up the video with a cheerful smile, announcing she’d be spending the day at her typewriter.
Porizkova encouraged her followers to embrace their own imperfections, stating in her caption, “If you’re like me, you might notice my body isn’t perfect either. So take a moment to love your imperfect self because those flaws are what make us unique.”
Her message of self-acceptance came after years of sharing unfiltered selfies and authentic images on social media.
In a recent interview, she elaborated on her decision to maintain her natural appearance, emphasizing the importance of authenticity.
“Once you start filtering and altering your photos, it loses its genuine nature,” she remarked, expressing her desire to present her true self to the world.
In the caption, she confessed to being “addicted” to these morning routine videos, wanting to reveal how she begins each day.
Porizkova also reflected on aging, noting, “One unexpected aspect of getting older is caring less about others’ opinions. I’ve spent decades serving others; now it’s my time.”
While acknowledging her ongoing quest for freedom from societal norms, she expressed gratitude for the wisdom that comes with age.
“I know I’m the best version of myself right now,” she asserted. “Why strive for improvement? I’m at my peak, and my wrinkles don’t change that; this is what it’s all about.”
