Pauly Shore has revealed that she “cried all night” after Richard Simmons voiced his disapproval of a biopic starring the comedian.
“Encino Man” star, 56, uploaded to instagram He told the fitness guru on Friday that he’s the “perfect” man to play on the big screen.
“Guys, I cried all night over Richard Simmons’ tweet. Richard, why can’t you just accept this movie? I mean, really, no one is better suited to play you in the movie than me. Who is there?” Shore wrote.
“Leonardo DiCaprio isn’t going to play you. Brad Pitt isn’t going to play you. I’m perfect. Everyone already thinks I’m you. So do we. Inside too. It’s beautiful on the outside, too!
Shore then urged Simmons, 75, to get his opinion before deciding whether to pull out of the film.
“Simply let me come to your house, bring you some hot matzo ball soup and pastrami sandwiches with Canter’s dark mustard, rub your feet, and you’ll hear author Jordan Allen-Dutton’s pitch. But what do you think?” What do you think we think? he continued.
Afterward, the voice actor for “A Goofy Movie” told Simmons that he “loved” the biopic, which Simmons called “the most beautiful cinematic masterpiece.”
Thursday, Simmons tweeted his disapproval of the film.writes that he is “in talks with a major studio” to produce a biopic about himself “with help.”
“I just read that a man I don’t know is writing a biopic (sic) of me starring Pauly Shore. I do not approve of this film,” he wrote, urging fans to wait for his work. .

This isn’t the first time the “Sweaty Oldies” star has criticized Shore’s films.
In January, Simmons made an unusual public statement on Facebook, telling fans that he did not consent to the biopic.
“Hello everyone! You may have heard that there might be a movie about me with Pauly Shore. I have never greenlit this movie. Don’t believe it all,” he wrote.
Simmons also told fans that she no longer has a publicist or manager because she is trying to “live a quiet life and live a peaceful life.”
Shore also starred as an aerobic trainer in the unrelated short film The Court Jester, which premiered at Sundance earlier this year.
