Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Iranian people in a speech Thursday, urging them to rise up against the Iranian government and promising a future of peace and prosperity once Iran is free.
of speechPrime Minister Netanyahu's third statement in recent months comes after Israel destroyed almost 90% of Syria's air defenses after the fall of Assad this week and said Israel is considering plans to attack Iran's vulnerable nuclear program. It was carried out while it was reported that the
Israel also destroyed Iranian air defenses in an attack in October, in response to a major ballistic missile attack by Iran earlier that month. Iran also attacked Israel in April with ballistic missiles, drones, and cruise missiles.
The speech was posted on Youtube, and a recording of it was provided by the Israeli Government Press Office.
People of Iran:
I can only imagine how you are feeling right now, watching history unfold before your eyes.
Your oppressors spent over $30 billion supporting Assad in Syria.
Today, after just 11 days of fighting, his regime is reduced to rubble.
Your oppressors spent billions supporting Hamas in Gaza.
Today their regime is in ruins.
Your oppressors have spent over $20 billion supporting Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Within weeks, most of Hezbollah's leaders, rockets, and thousands of terrorists went up in smoke.
The money your oppressors stole from you literally went up in smoke.
You must be furious to imagine that dictators could have built new roads, schools, and hospitals with the tens of billions of dollars they wasted supporting terrorists who lose again and again. .
Do you know why Iran's oppressors keep losing?
It's not just because they're incompetent and cruel. they are.
That's because they want to conquer other countries and impose fundamentalist tyranny on the Middle East and the entire world.
The only thing Israel wants is to protect our country. But in doing so, we protect civilization from barbarism.
….The historical events we witness today are a chain reaction. It's a chain reaction to the attack on Hamas, the destruction of Hezbollah, the targeting of Nasrallah, and our blow against the Iranian regime's axis of terror. And all of this happened, as President Trump pointed out this week, “because of Israel and its successes in combat.”
I want to be clear. Israel wants peace. We desire peace with all those who sincerely desire peace with us.
And I have no doubt that the Iranian people know this.
I know that you want peace with us just as we want peace with you.
But you are suffering under the control of a regime that subjugates you and threatens us.
Do you know what this administration is really afraid of?
Iranian people are afraid of you.
And one day I know it. One day this will change. One day Iran will be free.
women, life, freedom
Zan, Zendegi, Azadi.
That is the future of Iran.
That is the future of peace.
And I have no doubt that we will realize that future together much sooner than people think.
I know and believe that we will transform the Middle East into a beacon of prosperity, progress and peace.
thank you.
Early Thursday, Breitbart News reported that Iran's ruling class is considering regime change, citing Iran's “revolutionary” leadership and failed strategy to promote terrorism and war abroad.
The impending return of President Donald Trump in January presents an opportunity for change for Iran. President Trump has promised to allow Israel to do what it needs to do to defend itself and restore “maximum pressure” on Iran.
