Pedro Pascal criticizes America in his latest remarks

Pedro Pascal: A Voice in the Spotlight

Pedro Pascal isn’t just a fleeting character in the entertainment industry. The “Last of Us” star seems to occupy a majority of screens lately, appearing in various films and shows. Well, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point.

Recently, Pascal has taken a stand on multiple issues, passionately sharing his perspectives. However, this doesn’t include pointing out anti-Semitism or addressing how some Democrats seem to have overlooked aging patients. What a sight that is. Instead, he seems to be leaning into the trans agenda and taking aim at JK Rowling while also backing Planned Parenthood.

This week, he joined a group of influential names endorsing organizations that promote abortion. And, well, he isn’t shy about making his feelings toward former President Donald Trump known, even using some colorful language to do so.

It’s almost as if he noticed how some past stars faded away and thought, “I’ve got to up my game.” But who’s going to follow in his footsteps?

A Shift in Disney’s Ideology

Disney certainly seems to be backpedaling a bit. They have recently pulled back a bit on their progressive narratives, evident in some of their latest family-friendly projects like “Inside Out 2,” “Moana 2,” and now a live-action “Lilo & Stitch.”

Meanwhile, the team behind “Doctor Who” appears to be sticking with their progressive agenda, despite declining viewership. We’re talking about significant drops in ratings recently, which has led to some speculation about the future of the show. Even co-star Valada Seth remarked that criticism proves their attempt at inclusivity is making an impact.

Showrunner Russell T. Davies mentioned that there’s “no time” to cater to fans who might not agree with new directions for the series. If ratings continue to dip, it seems he might just have quite a bit of time on his hands.

Tom Cruise and Box Office Woes

Tom Cruise is finding himself in a precarious position in Hollywood. While he usually keeps things polite and positive, his latest effort, “Mission: Impossible – Final Calculation,” is not performing as expected. With an opening weekend projected at around $65 million, that might sound okay, but given the reported $400 million budget, it’s clear that more than a miracle is needed to break even.

As summer movie season ramps up, the competition is likely to get even tougher. And those stunts? They seem to be ramping up in intensity since he’s chasing the next big thrill.

Focus on Rights in Hollywood

Actor Zachary Levi has been vocal about the shifting dynamics in the film industry and is working to establish a studio in Austin, Texas, which is more in line with his ideals. However, both Levi and the media acknowledge that his viewpoints have likely hindered his career trajectory in Hollywood, marking a new era of censorship for artists who lean right.

So, next time you read about “Trump is a fascist,” consider whether the writer understands the term they’re using…

Bono’s Return to Activism

Taking a brief detour into the music world, Bono from U2 initially spoke out after the violent events of October 7th but has since been relatively quiet. However, he has resurfaced, urging fellow musicians to advocate for hostages taken by Hamas.

He’s also suggested that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should step down. It’s interesting, isn’t it? While Bono offers his celebrity influence, many other musicians have chosen to remain silent. Perhaps more dialogue is what’s needed.
