The day leading up to the NBA trade deadline on Thursday was fast and furious, and it continued late Wednesday night as the Raptors acquired Brandon Ingram from the Pelican.
The deal allows Ingram to head north of the border with Bruce Brown Jr., Kelly Orinik, one round pick and the second round to Big Easy. ESPN's Shams Charania reported.
Early night reports began to surface first that Ingram had been down the pipeline involving Ingram heading to the Raptors before the full range of swaps emerged.
Ingram was also removed from the Pelican bench Wednesday night after trade rumors rose. Athletic Wirugillory reported.
Ingram was out of court due to an ankle injury in December.
He played just 18 games this season.
His production is impressive enough to guarantee a plot from Toronto, adding him to an expired deal.
The Pelicans were unable to reach an agreement with Ingram about the extension, prompting him to move on.

Ingram was a member of the organization for six seasons after playing for the Lakers for the first three years of his NBA career.
Athletic Previously, the Raptor and Hawks reported that they were “neck and neck” at the sweepstakes to win Ingram's services.
Ingram averaged 22.2 points, 5.2 assists and 5.6 rebounds, earning 37.4% above ARC this season.
Brown is now heading to New Orleans, but will become his fourth team in the past three seasons after leaving the net via free agency after the 2021-22 season.
Brown has been an unlimited free agent since this season, earning $23 million this year.
