The daughter of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has criticized former President Trump for his “unhealthy obsession” with her mother.
“His deceptive and perverse obsession with our mothers is just another reason why Donald Trump is unwell, mentally ill and unfit to ever set foot anywhere near a mother or the White House,” Christine Pelosi wrote. On social media platform X.

He was reported as saying, “Nancy Pelosi’s daughter is a weirdo. Her daughter told me that if things had been different, Nancy and I would have been the perfect couple, despite the age difference.” According to the tweet: Jake Sherman of Punchbowl pointed out that his comment was “close to an exact quote.”
“I speak for all four Pelosi Daughters in saying this is a lie,” Christine Pelosi wrote in a post on X.
A spokesman for Pelosi responded to the reported comments in a statement to The Hill.
“The man has clearly lost his mind – not that he was ever sane,” the spokesman said.
The former House Speaker also condemned President Trump’s visit to the U.S. Capitol on the same day, his first since Jan. 6, 2021, when rioters stormed the building to protest the results of the 2020 election.
In a statement Thursday, she said, referring to the former president, “an instigator of insurrection returns to the scene of the crime.”
“From day one, Donald Trump pledged to be a dictator and exact revenge on his political enemies, and he comes to Capitol Hill today with the same mission: to dismantle our democracy,” Pelosi said. “But make no mistake: Trump has already inscribed a legacy of disgrace in our hallowed halls.”
