I’ll be honest… This makes me want to bet on Notre Dame for the win.
Penn State head coach James Franklin decided to throw a jab at the Fighting Irish while making a call for “consistency” in the game of college football, saying that “everyone should be in a conference.” (RELATED: Ted Cruz, JD Vance Just Slapped A Bet Against Each Other For Texas-Ohio State Game)
Talking to the media at a press conference, and doing so right in front of ND head coach Marcus Freeman, Franklin let it be known how he feels regarding the Irish not being in a conference and being strictly independent when it comes to football.
“It should be consistent across college football,” said Franklin. “This is no knock at [Freeman] or Notre Dame, but I think everybody should be in a conference. I think everybody should play a conference championship game, or nobody should play a conference championship game. I think everybody should play the same number of conference games.”

I don’t know if it was necessarily smart for James Franklin to take a shot at Notre Dame. Not only are you heading into a game against these boys, but they look highly motivated right now.
Only time will tell, but regardless, I respect the “dawg” in Franklin.
