Early this afternoon, emergency responders received a call about a man who had fallen and injured his lower back. Upon arrival, responders found the patient approximately 20 feet down the side of a hill with severe lower back injuries. Additional resources were requested to assist with the extrication.
After the patient was “stabilized and treated for pain and injuries,” a rope system was deployed and used to extract him, after which he was transported to a local medical center.
Emergency services thanked local police and fire services for their help in the rescue operation, and gave a “special thanks” to the man’s golden retriever.
