Fox News accused of being accused of causing a fire over the weekend at Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s mansion, was released on bail to Josh Shapiro’s mansion over the weekend.
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Court records show that Cody Balmer, 38, 38, was released on bail and was scheduled for court later this week on a simple assault charge in 2023. Sources told Fox News that the incident was linked to a domestic conflict.
Ballmer was arrested Monday in connection with an arson attack, where he thrusts his tongue into reporters trying to ask him questions. Speaking to Judge Dale Klein, Ballmer identified himself as a former welder not currently employed and said he had no savings or income.
Ballmer also said he has no history of substance or alcohol abuse, and that although he had taken medication in the past for mental health, the pills “leaded.” [him] The judge later denied Bermer’s request for bail, citing his actions put the community at risk.
Pennsylvania State Police arrested the suspect after the governor’s mansion was set on fire.

Earlier on Monday, the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) said Bermer was “currently undergoing treatment” at the hospital due to a “health event not related to this incident or his arrest.”
The suspect was charged with attempted murder, robbery, robbery, terrorism and other related crimes after allegedly setting a fire around 2am Sunday morning.
Shapiro and his family were sleeping at the time of the incident, celebrating the first night of the Passover Jewish holiday just before the fire began.
At a press conference on Sunday, Lt. Colonel PSP Lt. George Bivens said Balmer had jumped over the fence and brought “homemade baking devices equipment” to the governor’s mansion.

“He actively avoided the troopers who were here to secure housing,” the official explained. “meanwhile [police] The search was when he attacked the residence. [and] It broke and caused a fire…it was a very fast event. ”
Shapiro condemned Sunday’s attack and expressed his gratitude to authorities who saved him and his family.

“This kind of violence is becoming too common in our society,” Shapiro said. “And if it’s coming from one particular side, directed at one particular party or another, I don’t mind. It’s not ok, it needs to be stopped. We need to be better than this.”
