Pennsylvania prisoner charged with engaging in sexual video chats with an 11-year-old while incarcerated

Pennsylvania Inmate Charged for Inappropriate Video Chats with Minor

Pennsylvania officials announced the arrest of a prisoner who allegedly recorded explicit video conversations with an 11-year-old girl using a tablet belonging to his cellmate.

Tyler Osborne, 30, incarcerated at Berks County Jail in Leesport, faces significant sexual offense charges after reportedly pressuring the child to disrobe and engage in sexual activities through devices issued by the prison.

Documents reveal that those previously convicted of sexual crimes are forbidden from unsupervised interactions with minors and the use of electronic gadgets.

Berks County District Attorney John Adams commented that ongoing investigations confirmed the disturbing nature of the contact, highlighting that the inmate had coerced the child into performing sexual acts via tablet communication.

Two recorded sessions, which were uncovered after a notification from Predator Bankmate in April, demonstrated the inappropriate interactions Osborne had with the young girl.

With a past conviction for corruption of minors and indecent assault, Osborne now faces multiple charges, including sexual abuse of a child, possession of child pornography, illegal contact with a minor, and misuse of a communications device.

Adams warned other inmates about the consequences of breaking the rules, stating, “We want to make sure the prisoners know we’re looking over their shoulders.” He added that any illicit activities conducted via tablets will be discovered, and the offenders will face charges or sanctions, including removing their tablet privileges.

Osborne remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court again on June 3rd.
