Pentagon shares a new set of UFO documents: ‘Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters’

The Pentagon’s New UFO Files Release

The Pentagon has unveiled another set of files concerning UFOs and UAPs, marking the third release since the government initiated its disclosures last month.

This latest collection encompasses 53 documents along with 10 images from various agencies, including the CIA, FBI, NASA, and the Department of Defense. It also contains six videos and three audio recordings from NASA.

Among the documents is a CIA report from July 2008, detailing a UFO sighting above Harare International Airport in Zimbabwe. At that time, officials weren’t sure if the object, which seemed to have a “beam-like” appearance, was of extraterrestrial origin or a surveillance device from another nation.

“The object was disc-like with a hollow center, featuring a series of rotating lights underneath,” observers noted.

Another file includes a video of a bright object hovering over someone’s backyard in the northeastern U.S.—described as a “brilliant red sphere” roughly the size of a basketball.

Witnesses from a July 2025 incident described the orbs as moving silently and smoothly, almost as if they were flying in formation or tethered together.

Additionally, there’s footage from an October 2024 event showing “a light source below the horizon, hovering above a pond about 2,700 feet away,” based on the Pentagon’s account.

“The luminous object appeared to take on a ‘plasma-like’ form, intermittently changing shape and brightness. At times, the main light seemed to split into smaller points. A point below the main source hovered just above the water, not consistent with surface reflections. It remained generally still for around 45 minutes before it vanished,” the Pentagon elaborated.

A separate sighting from 2022 near Colorado Springs showed a “potato”-shaped object that seemed to have a “creamy/whitish opalescent color, somewhat translucent with a slight shimmer.”

This ongoing release of files was catalyzed by an executive order from President Donald Trump earlier this year, mandating that federal agencies declassify UFO-related documents.
