Media Coverage of Biden Discussed on PBS

During a recent episode of PBS’s “Washington Week,” CNN host Jake Tapper and Axios National Political Correspondent Alex Thompson addressed the media portrayal of former President Joe Biden. This discussion took place after host Jeffrey Goldberg responded to critiques regarding how Biden has been covered by the press. Their conversation suggested that the issues extend beyond what is publicly visible.

Goldberg noted that while some support for Biden was evident, the challenges he faced were often more significant behind the scenes. “Yes, well, you can lead people to a story that writes, but you can’t let them read it. I think that’s part of the problem. I’m not trying to make excuses,” he said, reflecting on the nuances of media narratives.
