Peoples Place Gourmet Deli in NYC sells $1 million lotto ticket

The number of zeros kept increasing.

An Upper East Side deli worker sold a $1 million lottery ticket to a mystery woman over the weekend. However, neither of them could believe it and thought she had misread the lottery ticket.

People’s Place Gourmet Deli employee Mene Ghazi told the Post on Thursday that when the woman visited the store on Monday, there were too many zeros on her receipt and her winning lottery ticket was worth $10,000. He said he initially believed it was $100,000, but before he read it correctly, he suspected it was $100,000.
