Pepsi’s ‘zero sugar’ Schweppes ginger ale had sugar

PepsiCo is recalling more than 200 Schweppes Zero Sugar Ginger Ale drinks after they were found to contain added sugar.

The Food and Drug Administration announced that the recall affects products shipped to Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

According to the government agency, PepsiCo has launched an internal investigation and found that some products labeled as “no sugar” actually contain “complete sugars” and are used by diabetics and others to avoid sugar. It has been determined that it is not safe for those who are exposed to the virus.

The FDA announced that the recall began on March 9th.
